**Material & Grades:**
Ring type joint (RTJ) flanges are available in a wide variety of materials to meet the requirements of high-pressure and critical applications. Here are some common options:
- Stainless Steel: ASTM A 182 F 304, 316, 321, 347, 904L – Excellent corrosion resistance for various environments.
- Duplex & Super Duplex Steel: ASTM / ASME A/SA 182 F 44, F 51, F 53, F 55, F 60, F 61 – Exceptional strength for high-pressure applications.
- Carbon Steel: ASTM / ASME A/SA 105, A 350, A 181 LF 2, A516 Gr.70, A694 (**Limited use for RTJ flanges due to pressure limitations**).
- Low Temp Carbon Steel: ASTM A350 LF2, LF3 – Suitable for low-temperature environments, but not ideal for high-pressure RTJ applications.
- Alloy Steel: ASTM / ASME A/SA 182 & A 387 F1, F5, F9, F11, F22, F91 – Preferred choice for high-pressure RTJ flanges due to their strength and durability.
- Copper Alloy Steel: ASTM SB 61, SB62, SB151, SB152 – For specific applications requiring copper properties alongside pressure resistance.
- Nickel Alloy: ASTM SB564, SB160, SB472, SB162, etc. – Exceptional corrosion resistance for harsh environments and high-pressure applications.
